Why this is asked: The skeleton's numbers are exact and tested as-is: 206 bones total, split into 80 in the axial skeleton (skull, vertebral column, ribs, sternum) and 126 in the appendicular skeleton (limbs and girdles). Among joints, NEET likes naming the less obvious synovial types by example — the saddle joint between the thumb's carpal and metacarpal, not just the familiar hinge and ball-and-socket.
