The qualifying percentile for each category is fixed by the NMC; the marks it corresponds to move with every paper. Both are below for every year since 2019, with the size of the cohort, each from the NTA result notice.

Qualifying is a percentile rank, not a seat. A government MBBS seat in most states has needed far more than this — see the mock result page for where a score sits.

What these numbers are, and are not
- The percentile is the rule; the marks are the outcome. 50th percentile means half of everyone who appeared scored at or above it. A harder paper lowers the mark, not the bar.
- Qualifying is not admission. It makes you eligible for counselling. Seats are allotted on rank, by state and category, and the last rank admitted to a government college has sat far above the qualifying mark every year.
- No prediction here. Every other page carries an “expected cut-off 2027”. There is no method behind it. The UR/EWS mark has ranged from 117 to 162 (16.3% to 22.5% of the paper) since 2019 — that spread is the honest forecast.
Common questions
- What will the NEET cut-off be this year?
- There's no way to know before the result — it depends on that year's paper and how the whole cohort performs, not a fixed formula. This page adds the real figure the day NTA declares it, sourced to the official notice.
- Is the NEET qualifying percentile the same every year?
- Yes. It's fixed at 50th percentile for UR/EWS and 40th for OBC/SC/ST (45th and 40th for the PwD categories) — what changes year to year is only the mark that percentile happens to land on.
- Does qualifying NEET mean I get a medical seat?
- No — qualifying only makes you eligible for counselling. The actual seat goes by rank, state and category quota, and the cut-off for a specific government college is almost always well above the bare qualifying mark.
- Is the cut-off different for OBC, SC, ST or PwD candidates?
- Yes — reserved categories qualify at a lower percentile, so their cut-off mark comes out lower than UR/EWS's every year. See the year-by-year table above for the exact marks.
